In addition, I will occasionally display my latest projects, including short stories, memoir, other books of adventure, fantasy, and unique tales of general interest. I also encourage feedback on my work and will try to answer all e-mails.

J. L. Mercer - Author

Jerry Mercer  lives in the state of Washington on Whidbey Island with his wife, Carolyn. He is a boater, woodworker, artist, and is involved in his community, but his main occupation these days is writer.

 

Jerry graduated from University of Washington with a BFA in Industrial Design and retired from The Boeing Company in 1999 as a Senior Design Fellow.

 

Jerry has written many technical articles and documents. He also won several awards during the last ten years for fiction, non-fiction, children's literature, and poetry. He published an anthology of humor in 2003, a local history book in 2004, and his first novel in 2008. Jerry has published four novels in the William Pope nautical adventure series and is currently working on the fifth book in the series. Jerry recently published a new book entitled Zerin Prraang, the story of an American mercenary in Afghanistan. Meanwhile, he is working on many other projects, including a fantasy novel, and an historical novel about the pioneer days on Whidbey Island. He is also working on an anthology of short stories, his memoirs, a collection of poetry, and non-fiction essays. He is indeed busy!
